Tending to Conflict:
A Liberatory Learning Space for Educators

Public

4 Sessions from Sep 28 - Nov 16, 2025  // In Person & Virtual

This series is rooted in abolition. Grounded in healing justice.

So often in social justice spaces, we learn to analyze and intellectualize our way through conflict, but not to feel it. We name harm in others, but not always in ourselves.

As a result, we are physically unwell—burned out, exhausted, and chronically ill.

And we are relationally unwell—compartmentalizing our pain while we survive, bystand, enable, and even perpetuate the very dynamics we are fighting to disrupt.

This series invites something different.

Over four sessions (opening and closing half-day retreats and 2x virtual 2-hour sessions in-between) we will slow down and explore:

  • How conflict lives in our bodies, families, and cultures

  • How white supremacy culture shapes our responses to harm

  • Tools and practices for engaging in conflicts in ways that expand agency and align with values

  • The differences between calling out, calling in, and approaches that can best serve our students in a given moment

This is not a training. It’s a trauma-informed, healing-centered learning space to return to ourselves, compost what no longer serves, and grow something new.
